This spirited Lp (which has a jam session feel to it) features pianist Randy Weston for the first time with a group as large as a quintet. With assistance from trumpeter Ray Copeland, baritonist Cecil Payne (who switches to alto on "Well You Needn't"), bassist Ahmed-Abdul Malik and either Willie Jones or Wilbert Hogan on drums, Weston explores three of his originals, the calypso "Run Joe" and four jazz standards including a heated version of the title cut. This album (originally recorded for Dawn) does not deserve its obscurity. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
