Mink Jazz from 1962-63 features Lee with a septet/octet performing concise versions of 17 selections, including five that were not on the original LP. Benny Carter provided some of the arrangements and there are some short spots for trumpeter Jack Sheldon but the emphasis is very much on the singer, who swings the melodies with class. Best are Whisper Not, As Long As I Live, I Could Write A Book and I'll Get By.
